Who it is for
The room is mixed on purpose. Different roles share one operating language so owners understand technical risk, technical people understand cash, and supervisors see the system around the shift.
If you intend to run ground, this program is built to keep you from paying tuition to the first season itself. You will practice the decisions that punish new operators: the wrong cut, the hungry plant, the unmanaged water, the budget that only works on paper.
If you already know machines and ground, the intensive is a way to tighten recovery, planning, compliance and the knowledge that too often lives in one person’s head. Family operations use it as structured transfer, not as a motivational seminar.
Production jobs can shrink a person’s field of view to one machine. This program widens it: layout, water, recovery, records and cost. Supervisors leave better able to run a shift as part of a mine, not as an isolated task.
Placer looks simple from a distance. The intensive is for people who need to see the real economics, dependencies and failure modes before they fund, advise, or supply an operation.
International miners with comparable operating intent are welcome. The geology is Yukon; the decision-making is portable. If you are looking for a recreational panning trip, this is the wrong school.
